  1. Presumably it’s to show how ‘down to earth’and ‘normal’ they are?

  2. wb PSI :) Hope ur well!

Not sure what it was meant to achieve.
If anything it mocked those women who are different or desperately trying to ‘fit-in’

  4. Any reasonable person should be able to see that this video was tongue-in-cheek. I attended the Beautiful Women Conference last year and the whole crowd was in stitches laughing at this. We all thought it was hilarious. It was meant to be just a bit of fun. For anyone to read a deeper spiritual meaning into it doesn’t have a sense of humour!!!

  5. If you want to fit in, this is not funny because, tougue in cheek or not, it is true and if you aren’t like these women, you will not be “in the loop”. You will be laughed at in the toilets for what you wear, you will be whispered about, you will be excluded, you will be asked to attend parties but never given the details of when and where they are, you will attempt to catch up with people but find they are always too “Busy”, you will find that you have been excluded by finding tagged pictures of people, who were supposed to be friends, at events you never heard about, on Facebook. There is a very visible element within the “in crowd “of PS women who are arrogant, toxic, self serving individuals. The ONLY way to be accepted is, GOD FORBID to become one of them !!! And, while I’m at it, a Women’s Conference is just that, a conference!! It is not now or ever will be, a Women’s Ministry!!!

  6. I’m sorry to hear that was your experience, but I just want to say that in the two years I’ve attended Planetshakers, I’ve never seen any of that sort of thing happen (oh, and I’m an unemployed solo mum who can’t afford the latest fashions). The danger here is state that this is every woman’s experience at PS when it is not. I’ve been in bathrooms there dozens of times and never heard mocking, I’ve picked people up in my car to go to church who have depression as well as non-English speaking migrants, etc. who don’t fit what you say is the ‘in group’ but enjoy being a part of things there. As for that Beautiful Woman promo, I’ve met both of those women on different occasions and they are not the slightest bit catty but enjoy poking fun at themselves which is what they were doing on that tape. For you to think they were putting other women down is wrong. But once again, sorry to hear that your individual experience was negative but to repeat what I said earlier, I’ve been going to all church events for two years and bitchiness is not the norm by any means.

  7. I’m pleased you find PS a positive experience,I have been attending for several years and latterly not found it so. Firstly, I did not imply the women in the promo were catty, I stated that if you weren’t like the people they portrait, you won’t be “in the loop”. And of course you won’t be the butt of their jokes, to be blunt, they won’t see you as a threat! I have personally seen someone moved to tears on several ocassions, they will not go into the toilets unaccompanied and now only attend ocassionally.(Interns are the worst). You say you give people rides to church, how blessed you are to have a car !!! Look after your depressed friends, guard them with your life!! PS is a dangerous place for people with depression!!! Some minor leaders have stated that “Christians shouldn’t get depression” How ignorant and uneducated they are…. I know
that could not possibly be the stance from the top, when Pastor Russell’s own brother, Executive Pastor at Paradise, Ashley Evans , makes no secret of the fact he suffered a Breakdown. Tell your friends there is NO CONDEMNATION IN CHRIST JESUS!! So herein lies another question… who is monitoring some of this behaviour?? Or are PS too preoccupied with overseas tours, and church plants in South Africa and Geelong to worry about the shaky foundations of the home church????

  8. wow.. i don’t go to the church.. but surely that you can see this is just a little joke..
Angel you gotta lighten up.. when you find the perfect church tell me where it is! plus stop going cause it won’t be perfect once you start attending.. no church is perfect..

and seriously.. the PS insider.. surely you must have more to do with your time than run this website.. you are indeed a sad individual.. i feel for you buddy..

  9. This is ridiculous. It’s a joke! It’s mocking a the self conscious crap that women face in a cocky form saying simply that the woman that’s always stuck on being beautiful and making herself the object of attention ends up looking really bad in the end. It’s not hating on people that don’t care how they dress, and it’s not picking on the people that want to look good. It’s confronting a focus problem. We’re to show the world Christ, not spend all of our time focused on ourselves. If you take this out of context you’d be a tough one to pastor.
